Year One

At Salisbury Academy in my first year, we have finished and explored a lot of projects and topics all being hands-on and very immersive. The teachers and students come together and make a well-oiled machine that remembers when to have fun and party with pancakes but also when to get down and start working. They have supported and helped me in my goals for my future and path in life with confidence and pride that I will never forget. I will be starting Catwba classes next year and will start to focus my studies on medicine and look for my future goals in life and what I want for my life.

What I want for my future

I've always been interested in helping people ever since I was little and when I got older I realized that I wanted to be a surgeon. I'm a curious person and I always loved to learn about the human body it always held a new fact or interesting thing that was made perfectly so we can live the life we do. Although my love for plants and nature likes to throw me for a loop in job choices, botany is just as interesting and tedious as med school although it doesn't come with a beautifully big paycheck. Either way happiness and helping people have always been my leading factors when I think of the future and I hope to continue that mindset.
