For my woodshop project, I built a solid cherry wood table, stained dark walnut for a rich finish. At 33 inches tall and 30 inches wide, its sturdy, simple design helped me refine my skills. I gained confidence using techniques like staining and coating. Seeing the final product come together was rewarding and showcased my growth in craftsmanship.

This handmade cutting board features maple, walnut, and lacewood. Maple and walnut form the checkerboard sides and centerpiece, while lacewood accents the center and corners. The car image, owned by a local, was hand-drawn and laser-etched for a personal touch. The project took 6 weeks of on-and-off work and over 40 hours of designing and building.

I also decided to include their last name and the year they got married on one side and a juice groove on the other. Upon completion, I also added layers of mineral oil.

In my construction class we used this app called Sketchup since a lot of construction jobs require doing construction plans digitally instead of handmade because it is easier I built a plan of a house and in the bottom you can see where the kitchen living room and bathroom are located and I built how the "House" would look like but just digitally.
