Register for Confirmation! Wednesdays at Saint Luke's start in September!
Students are learning what it means to be a member of a Church community and at Saint Luke’s we pray together, grow together, and serve together. Students are expected to give back to the community through serving at Saint Luke’s outreach partners, Saint Luke’s sponsored events, or at Sunday worship. Please note: Confirmation service hours will not be given for non Saint Luke events or outreach partners (ex. teaching lacrosse, building sets at MMS, etc.)
Types of Community Service Hours:
Sunday Worship, Outreach Partners, Saint Luke's Events
All hours need to be submitted by May 30th, 2027 using Track It Forward receive credit for the program. Each student should create an account. All sign-ups for events will be availble on Track It Forward to make it easy for students to earn and track hours.
Required Number of Hours
8th Grade- 15 Hours
7th Grade- 10 Hours
6th Grade- 5 hours

In the “Need an Account” section click on SIGN UP (Be sure to enter STUDENT first and last name.)
Once you register and complete your profile, you will be brought to the screen to log your hours. If you have already done hours, you can input them. As you do your future hours, log them right away so you don’t forget.
Leading worship is a great way to give back to the Saint Luke's community while serving alongside fellow youth and adult members alike. Seventh and eighth grade students are required to participate as worship leaders as part of their commitment to Confirmation. All students who serve as Sunday worship leaders will receive service hours as well as credit for attending Sunday worship. More information on all worship roles can be found here.
Join us in preparing and serving dinner for a $1 on Thursday evenings from 4:30-6:30pm September to May in our Parish Hall.
Frequency- 1x a week, 2hrs a week. Students are encouraged to serve every week, but may also sign-up on a week-to-week basis.

Two options: Person to Person (P2P) is offering a new opportunity for Saint Luke's families to volunteer with their children on Saturdays from 1-3pm. Must sign up using the link below then follow to : Darien titled 'Family Volunteer Time.' Everyone volunteer including children needs a page in volunteer hub. Children under 13 need to be accompanied by a parent or older sibling in the food pantry or clothing center. Children under 10 can volunteer in the clothing center only accompanied by parent or older sibling.
Or, sign-up for other advertised P2P volunteer shifts that fit your schedule. All shifts are on the Volunteer Hub.
Frequency- As many hours as desired.

Join with other local Episcopalians to come alongside people who are struggling by assisting them with their laundry on the first Wednesday of the month at Giant Laundry in East Norwalk from 1-7pm.
Frequency- 1x/month, shifts beginning at 1pm-7pm.

Saint Luke’s is home to a community garden where we seek to produce healthy food for P2P food pantry customers. If you would like to assist in gardening or harvesting our vegetables, contact the master gardener to set up a time to serve.
Frequency- as often as needed during late spring-fall; clean-up days needed in late-fall/late-winter.

Pacific House is a nonprofit based in Stamford that provides emergency shelter and affordable housing, working to prevent and end homelessness. Join with Saint Luke’s parishioners in preparing and serving a meal at the men’s shelter on the first Sunday of the month.
Frequency- 1x/month, Cooking from 3-5, serving from 6-7.

Saint Luke's has four other Outreach Partners: The Episcopal Diocese of Jerusalem, Cuba, HomeFront, and Future Five. These four partners do great work both in our local community and around the world, students must be 16+ to serve directly with these organizations. If you have an idea of a service project that may support one of these partners please let us know.
Special events are held by Saint Luke's to support our outreach partners and church mission. These events will be posted on the Track It Forward page as they become available.
