Audio Studio I focuses on developing skills in diverse areas ranging from sound design and synthesis, sampling, composition and arrangement, through to critical listening, intermediate recording and mixing techniques.
This is mostly done through a set of weekly tasks, whereby students are given a real world brief each week and a time sensitive deadline to complete the task in accordance with the brief. This ranges from things like making sound logos through to putting together a sample pack for potential distribution.
For their major projects, students use the skills developed throughout the module in an interdisciplinary collaboration with games, design or animation students. This can involve (but may not be limited to) making music and/or sound effects for a project in one of these disciplines.
Please see a list of students below and links to the projects they have worked on this trimester. You will find more information about their role in the project and examples of their work by clicking on the project link.
