My interests have always been birthed from creativity either it being me doing dance classes as a kid, studying film on weekends as an early teen, and now trying to become a “Graphic Designer” - I’m not really a big fan of titles. I’m a family man who enjoys spending time with family and friends whenever I can. I value my connections with people, and always strive to spread positivity when possible. I’m very introspective and always look at aspects of my life that I can Improve on. I hope one day in the future I will become a multidisciplinary artist and be able to make a career out of my creative passions and spread my love for the arts to others.

The objective of Project 1 was to develop an advertising campaign that would attract a fresh audience to the Nando's peri-peri sauce brand and persuade them to appreciate the flavor rather than focusing on the level of spiciness.
To achieve this goal, our team created a comprehensive marketing plan that encompassed various elements such as social media marketing, print ads, and making in-person activations.
In my campaign, I employed a fitness-oriented strategy, emphasizing the health benefits of incorporating Nando's peri-peri sauce into individuals' dietary regimens as a flavorful and nourishing accompaniment to their meal preparations. By positioning the sauce as a healthy and nutritious option, we aimed to attract a health-conscious demographic, inspiring them to use our product in their fitness journeys.
Initially, the concept was to construct a flavor mountain to visually symbolize the varying degrees of taste within Nando's Peri-Peri sauce line. However, after careful consideration, I decided to shift direction, recognizing that this approach placed undue emphasis on the sauce's spiciness, rather than its rich and diverse flavor profile.
To progress with the concept, I opted to prominently feature a Nando's peri-peri sauce bottle as the focal point of the print poster, utilizing varying levels to denote distinct physical activities and diverse flavors. To accentuate these elements, I employed a color palette mirroring the existing peri-peri sauce flavors, thereby reinforcing brand recognition and resonance.
Activation 1 will be a Nando's Peri Peri sauce-sponsored Marathon where contestants will be participating and will be able to win rewards such as Peri-Peri sauce through vouchers that will be handed out at the event.
The chase your flavor wall activation will be a Wall Mural will be used to advertise the campaign.
This event will take place at a local Perth rock climbing center where the walls will be tailored to complement the flavor range of Nando's peri-peri sauce. This activity will provide participants with a fun way to engage with the campaign and will serve as an alternative to the marathon.
The "Chase Your Flavour" pop-up tent will be located at various spots around Perth, prominently featuring the campaign hashtag and branding. Within the tent, attendees will have the opportunity to sample Nando's peri-peri sauces and receive complimentary healthy food options incorporating the peri-peri sauces as an ingredient.
In Project 2, our task was to devise an advertising campaign for Stopwatch, leveraging its established brand colors, typography, and logo. The Stopwatch app was developed to support marginalized communities in navigating interactions with law enforcement. It achieved this by enabling users to record and transmit videos to a secure database, preventing law enforcement from deleting the footage from the user's device. For my campaign, I adopted a minimalist approach, focusing on conveying the necessary steps for utilizing the app. By highlighting its key features, I sought to raise awareness and enhance understanding of the app's functionality, thereby expanding its user base.
The concept for this poster was to conceptualize Copwatch as a guardian or overseer, symbolizing the app's mission to protect and serve its users. The imagery of Copwatch's hands cradling the community was intended to convey the app's role in safeguarding marginalized groups. The inclusion of a figure pointing towards the image of Copwatch was designed to create a sense of engagement and participation, inviting the viewer to join in the mission of promoting accountability and transparency in law enforcement.
Based on feedback received on the sketch, it was determined that the poster's intended focus on community was not readily apparent, and that there appeared to be three distinct messages rather than a cohesive whole. Ang provided the feedback that simplifying the image might help to refine the message and create a clearer visual narrative.\
In light of the feedback received, I made the decision to return to my original concept of utilizing the three-step approach of "See Something, Record Something, Change Something." I believed that this slogan possessed greater merit and had the potential to serve as the foundation for a stronger and more impactful advertising campaign.
I have generated several pieces of personal work throughout the trimester during my free time, which I intend to share on my Instagram page.
