Academic Eligibility

In order to remain academically eligible to compete in athletics, students must be passing FIVE credits.

By IHSAA rule, an “I” (incomplete) is considered a failing grade when determining eligibility. Grade checks are made after 9 weeks and at the semester. Any student-athlete who has not passed FIVE (5) credits on the following date(s) at 4:00 p.m., will be declared ineligible for the remainder of the next grading period.

End of Grading Period Dates: October 14th, December 22nd, March 17th, and May 31st

IHSAA Exemplary Actions Award Winner

Jackson Christmon was recognized by a referee at the football game against Bishop Dwenger for good sportsmanship and mental attitude.

"This young man showed great sportsmanship throughout the game along with being a great leader on the field. After the game, he came and shook the officials' hands personally and thanked us for being there."

The award recognizes any high school student-athlete who shows exemplary action during their sporting events and can be nominated by anyone who witnesses courteous actions by student-athletes on and off the field.

Spartan Spirit Store:

Stop by and visit the new Spartan Spirit Store to purchase Homestead merchandise. The store is located at the southwest corner of the new Citadel building which is near the football stadium. We will be open during varsity football games from 6 pm until 20 minutes after the end of the game. There will be some new additions to the store for each game. Be sure to stop by and check it out!


Homestead's Girls Golf Team Finishes The Season on the Podium

The Homestead Girls Golf Team finished fourth at the IHSAA Indiana Team Championship tournament held at Prairie View Golf Club in Carmel, Indiana on September 30th and October 1st. Cassidy Ayres, Domenica Casini, Breana Noll, Eliza Saal, and Scarlett Senk competed for the Spartans.


Junior Scarlett Senk carded the lowest score at the two day tournament and is All-State, finishing 6th in the Individual Championship.
