INTRO TO DIGITAL MEDIA PRODUCTION
In this course, students will be introduced to the facility and technology of Homestead’s Digital Media program. They will learn techniques of the sound studios, radio studios and television studio, which includes multiple video cameras and sets (news desk and green screen wall). Students will be introduced to the Adobe Suite of digital media design software such as Premiere, Audition, Photoshop and After Effects. Students will receive intense instruction covering both audio and video production and design and will learn skills and techniques of the media industry, including audio/video editing, broadcast journalism, podcasting and radio and television hosting, reporting and anchoring.
This class serves as the pre-requisite for all advanced-level Digital Media courses. All students will need to have completed both semesters of this class to move on.
