This course is centered around Homestead’s award-winning radio stations, WCYT The Point 91.1 fm and WCYT HD 2.0 online. Students will create content for each of the radio stations and run live radio shows, learning and applying advanced audio editing techniques and developing an on-air presence. Students will also learn how to use their voice in the ever-expanding world of audio, including podcasting, interviewing, and in-depth storytelling.
WHAT TYPE OF PROJECTS WILL WE DO IN THIS CLASS?
The main components of an Audio Production class are Voice and Sound Editing. To make a student the best possible audio producer, they must master these two elements. So all of the projects in this course are geared towards that goal.
