Lankayan Island is close to paradise for honeymooners and scuba divers.

You will be picked up from the airport or your hotel and transfer to a Private Jetty at Sandakan Town for a 90 minute trip by speedboat to Lankayan Island.

This is a small, relaxed and informal Resort offering, romantic atmosphere and secluded white sandy beaches and boasts a private and peaceful location. Wooden chalets are scattered around the pristine Island. Made out of local wooden materials to blend into the natural surroundings, chalets and standard rooms both have a private balcony overlooking the white sandy beach and turquoise colored ocean. Lankayan chalets are well appointed and equipped with hot bath, coffee and tea making facilities, mini refrigerator and fresh water from the mainland. All chalets offer direct access to the beach which is at your front door step.

Learners can enjoy introductory scuba diving classes and experienced divers can enjoy Lankayan Island's 32 dive sites including 2 wrecks. Most dives sites are just minutes away by boat from jetty.

The dives feature unbelievably colorful macro, fauna, fascinating wrecks and in season from March to May, regular sightings of gigantic and harmless whale sharks, the "dream date " of every diver in the world.

Situated within the Sea Turtle Corridor, Lankayan Island is also a nesting place and foraging ground for sea turtles; most commonly Green and Hawksbill Turtle. Therefore, guests will have a chance to see turtles nesting as well as new hatchling baby turtles released to the sea especially from June to September

Jawfish Lair In Lankayan, one of the most popular dive sites, is just 4 to 5 minute boat ride from Lankayan jetty. Some of the common sightings are of course the giant jaw fish itself, sting rays, snappers, groupers, anemone fish, fusilier, trumpet fish, and nudibranches. Rare sightings include blue ribbon eel, ghost pipe fish (seasonal), juvenile cat fish, peacock mantis shrimp, and turtle.
