Help us save our precious babies
There is a special hospital in Sepilok that cares for some of Sabah’s most precious babies.
Dedicated wildlife officers and veterinarians are providing 24 hour care for orphaned and sick baby elephants and orangutans at the Sepilok Wildlife Medical Care Centre.
And they need your help to help save the youngest members of these endangered species
The Centre cares for baby Bornean Pygmy Elephants and young Orangutans orphaned as a result of illegal logging and deforestation and those who have been illegally caught and kept as pets. At Sepilok the new arrivals are given a complete health check before starting on the long road to rehabilitating them back into the wild.
This essential process requires dedication and commitment for all those involved. Baby elephants and orangutans are cared for 24 hours a day, just like a human baby.
Providing care is expensive. Food and milk for a baby elephant can cost up to $US100 a day.
Sarahborneo tours has been helping the special people at this special clinic since 2015 and you can help too.
When you visit Sepliok we can arrange for a donation from you goes directly to the Clinic. If you would like to visit the clinic and meet the dedicated team from the Sabah Wildlife Department the cost of this special clinic tour will be donated directly to the Clinic.
