Introduction
About Me!
I am a senior at Rock Canyon High School and am going through the AP Capstone Diploma process. I am passionate about social justice and activism, throughout high school I have worked on tackling issues including diversity and inclusion within my high school and bringing light to the Indian Farmer's Protest. Thus, it was natural for me to select a research project that was surrounding diversity and inclusion through a study of critical race theory.
Outside of school, I am apart of various activities and clubs. I compete on my school's speech/debate team, apart of the Technology Student Association, and serve as a member on the WeSupportFarmers board. If I am not doing any of those things you can find me spending time with my family and friends. I love staying active outside of school!
I am an avid advocate for many different issues that are relevant in my community and the issue and debate of critical race theory in my hometown inspired me to engage in my current research topic.
Research Typology:
As a researcher, I am a conceptual theorist which means that I like to research in a manner that is holistic and imaginative. Conceptual Theorists prioritize a development of a coherent testable framework through large-scale correlation. As such it was natural for me to partake in a research study that studied the correlation between two variables of critical race theory and school district equity and inclusion statements.
