The name of my art is “Lonely”. It’s a clay sculpture. It has 2 friends and a coronavirus in-between them. It represents not being able to play with your friends and visit people because coronavirus is making people sick if they get near each other. The thing that inspired me was a talk that me and my mom had about me feeling like I have no friends. I felt like I had no friends because I haven’t seen anyone in more than a month because of Coronavirus. The emotion I am trying to say in my artwork is sad and lonely. I have never done sculptures before and it looked fun. I have seen YouTube videos on how to do them and I like how they do them. It was kind of fun, but it was kind of hard to do it for my first time. I learned how to make a sculpture. I learned how to make clay smooth. The hardest part was making the head, but I learned how to shape faces. The final piece is how I imagined it would be because it had two people with a coronavirus in between. The people were giving an air hug because you can’t hug people because of Coronavirus. This will influence my future artwork to be sometimes made by making another sculpture.
The title of my artwork is “Four Seasons”. It shows the different seasons we experience. I used acrylic paints, different brush sizes and q-tips. I made the flowers and leaves by dabbing the q-tips on the canvas. I used 7 q-tips grouped together. What inspired me is the beauty of nature each season brings like the bright colors of the trees and grass in the summer, the changing colors of the leaves in fall, the blooming of flowers in spring, and the falling of snow in winter. My goal was to make gradients and different color combinations. I was able to reach my goal as the trees stood out well against the background. I learned that if you choose the right brush and strokes, it will be easier to paint. I’m not too good at painting but with the right mix of colors and brushes, I was able to do it. This piece will influence my future art because they will be more colorful and vibrant.
My artwork has two trees and between it has a human with an umbrella. He’s on a little island with waves coming toward him. There are some other people playing in the sand. I used drawing. My art is made of pencil and then I put colors inside the pencil lines. I used pencil and colors. First, I made the island with the human on it with two trees. Next I made the sun. then I made the umbrella above the guy. Last I made the ocean with waves on it. Finally, I made the other humans playing in the sand. My artwork is about my family, learning to be energized more, and peace. I wanted to try to do painting because it looks cool. It did because I didn’t make a mess and I was good at painting. I learned to not always run around, and you can sit down in a quiet spot. It is because I wanted to have someone in an island just laying down and resting. It will tell other people what peace is about.
My artwork has beautiful colors like more a dark blue shading to a light blue and into a light lavender purple. And at the bottom a really nice black silhouette of palm trees. Then at the top we have shining stars to gaze at. We also have some shaded in clouds to give it realistic features. The subject of my art is to represent that I really like making blended skies and looking at beautiful landscapes. My painting Tropical Skies is made of paint and I used a canvas to paint on. I chose those words because I want the world to be more peaceful and kind. The emotions my painting tropical skies tried to show was love and peace. My work expressed me to be a little more calm on things like when I get mad. My goals for this artwork were to be more patient when I paint, to make my family go WOW! And to get convinced to start hanging my paintings, and it worked! Another goal was TO HAVE FUN! And I reached all my goals during the process of this painting! What I learned while making this artwork was how to maybe be more calm while you paint cause normally, I rush and get things messed up and get quite mad, this is the final piece I imagined honestly it came a little better than what I imagined. But I maybe had to work on blending the sky more, but overall, I think it’s fine. This piece of artwork will make me do more blending practice and I will make this same artwork but different colors in the sky.
My artwork is going to have horizontal lines that are colorful. And it is also going to have some music notes on it. I choose they things to put on my art because the music notes are going to represents that I love to listen to music. And the horizontal lines are going to be bright colors in the background, and they are going to represent the colors on how I feel when I listen to my lovely music. The first step I am going to do on my art is I am going to carefully draw the horizontal lines with pencil. Next I am going to pain in the horizontal with some acrylic paint with a medium sized brush. After I am done painting the horizontal lines, I am going to let the painting dry for about a day. Then I am going to draw the music notes with a pencil. And then I am going to pain the music notes very carefully with a small brush with a nice pointy tip. Then I wait for it to dry!! I inspired myself to do this artwork because I wanted my art to express myself. My art is a personal issue because I want it to express to people to do things that make you happy. The emotions I feel are happy, joyful and full of energy. In my art I learned to take time doing your art because if you rush you are going to mess up. Yes, my art piece is how I imagine it I think it is great. You can do art in different ways. In my art I learned to take time doing your art because if you rush you are going to mess up. Yes, my art piece is how I imagined it, I think it is great. You can do art in different ways.
My artwork is a mixed media. I used newspaper, chocolate wrappers, straws, CDs and acrylic paint. My art subject matter shows the pollution in the ocean is killing marine animals all because of us and the trash. The tools I used were masking tape and paint brushes. First, I taped the places that I didn't want painted then I started painting my sections different colors. I cut the CDs, straws, ripped the paper and folded the chocolate wrappers. I hot glued pieces onto different spots at the bottom. The pollution in the ocean and Pacific Garbage Patch inspired me to do something about that topic. The social issue about the art is everyone is throwing garbage into the ocean and the marine life is eating the garbage and it is affecting the food chain so we can die from it too. My emotion was sad when I was painting it. My goal was to do a painting with things glued onto it because I have not done a painting in a while and I wanted to do one with 3D stuff. This piece of art helped me reach my goals because it came out how I expected. What I learned in creating my artwork is how to blend colors in my top of the ocean. My final piece is not what I imagined because I did the wrong colors under the garbage. The next time I do artwork I want to blend colors more.
My art has a pink spotty background. The ballerina in the art is wearing a light pink dress, her hair is in a bun and wearing gold dance shoes. She has pink lipstick on her lips. My dance class inspired me to paint a ballerina because I enjoy and feel free. It helped me reach my goal because I wanted to be creative. It reminds me when I am in my dance class.
My art is a mixture of photos, it's colourful and it is creative and there are 6 squares/rectangles. My message is to take care of the environment. My mom inspired me to do this type of artwork. My work expresses the unit on waste management. One feeling/emotion I tried to use is confident. I wanted to make a mixed media because I couldn't choose what type of art to do and because I wanted to try something I haven’t done before. This artwork helped me reach my goals because I got the Idea mostly on my own. I used a mixed media; my art is made of thick construction paper, sticks and tissue paper I made it into a collage by going on a photo editor website. The technique that I used is putting a painting brush in water (that has a little bit of blue water colour paint in it) then I flicked the paint brush with the tip of my index finger. I learned that I need to take my time if I want my artwork to be nice and good. The artwork is how I imagined it and is not because I thought it was only going to be only a craft (I didn't think it would have as much detail).
My artwork is a cliff by the sea, the subject of my art is a landscape. My artwork is made of acrylic paints on a canvas. My family members were inspired when I made this painting. It doesn’t express a personal issue. It shows a relaxing, and calm reaction. My goal as an artist is I wanted to paint because this picture came in my mind that it was inspiring, so I made it. This did not quite reach my goals. I have learned that making art allows us to imagine and create our ideas. Art teaches us how we feel and the expressions on our artwork. This final piece is what I imagined. This piece will influence my future artwork because it has good texture and it looks realistic.
The subject of my art is to stop using fossil fuels. I used oil paint and pencil. I use the pencil for shading and the paint for texture. I was inspired by nature. It's a beautiful place, and I wanted to paint a picture, to show what our world would you look like if we keep using fossil-fuel. I decided to use paints because it would allow me to express myself in colour and detail. My art is successful because I added colour and detail. I learnt that art doesn't always come out the way you imagined. This final piece didn't come out the way I imagined because I thought it would have more detail. I will try and make my art more 3D, realistic and have more detail.
My art is a type of painting. My subject matter is that everybody is unique. First, I took my canvas and made different blues and put them all in different lines because I had it sketched out. Next I took the same paints and did another coat, then I took a brown marker and I wrote my message on each line there were a few words on each line. To complete my painting, I took silver diamonds and did those as border lines. Finally, I took pink diamonds and gold acrylic paint as polka dots. The person who inspired my art is Romero Britto because of his style of good messages on his paintings. My painting sends a personal message which is ‘You’re Special.’ The emotion I tried to show was for people to be happy. I wanted to make a painting to prove to everybody and myself that I can make nice artwork because I don’t really make nice artwork so I wanted to prove to myself that I can make a good artwork and I did, and I am really happy. I learned that I can make very nice art and it was really fun to paint. This is exactly what I imagined, I know that because I sketched everything out before I started, and it turned out to be exactly what I sketched out. This piece will influence my future artwork because I will have more confidence in myself.
My subject is mystical space. My artwork looks like the moon is falling apart, there are shooting stars trying to save the moon and then the pieces of the moon falling to earth. What I want people to see when they look at my painting is shooting stars saving Earth and the magic of space. I also want you to see that it’s unique. The message I want this to bring is that magic can be real in every way as long as you believe in it. I created my art when I was looking at an old painting I made and thought I could recreate it but then I had an idea that I could make it more magical and scary. This painting is a spitting image of what I think is going to happen when the world ends, I mean it’s not realistic. Another thing that inspired me to do this is that space is an unknown place and people are still exploring it. When I finished my drawing, I saw that it looks like half earth and half space. One more thing is that every night I like looking at the stars before I go to bed. The person who inspired me to do my space disaster fiasco was my mom because she was pointing at all the artwork in my room and thought that I could use an old painting, but instead she said I should do something different, so I did. Although, I still wanted to do a galaxy. Everything that is on my painting comes from the heart. It’s what I interpreted when I first saw the beautiful stars. My goal was to make a cardboard 3D looking sideways boat, but I didn’t think that would work so instead I went with quick idea I had just thought of. My goal was not really going to work so I thought about it and then I figured out what I wanted to do and that’s why I made what I did. Every one of my paintings are something special if one thing goes wrong then I fix it until it looks good. I learned that if you think you can do it then anything is possible.
The subject of my artwork is environmental changes. The title is the world is a beautiful place if we take care of it. My artwork uses earth colors on canvas. used tempera paint and colors. First, I get the materials I need. Then get my paper and create the earth picture that I have in my mind. And then using black color I wrote my message. My big idea is environmental issues this is an economic/ global issue. My inspirers are Mr. Pella, Romero Britto, and my parents. Emotions I used are sad and happy. My goal was to tell everyone the changes to the environment. And that we need to take care of the environment. What I have learned is that the only way to teach someone something isn’t by giving a presentation. You can also use art. I am satisfied with what I have created. Because I didn't have any difficulties. This will affect my artwork in the future by teaching that you can convey lots of things through various types of art.
My art is called ‘Lost in the Trees.’ It is going to have lots of trees then in the background there will be fog. And the message is ‘I LOVE MY LIFE’ it might be hard to see but I thought I could have the message in BOLD letters so u can see in the branches. The rest of the branches that do not say anything will be thin and the sky will be gray and rainy. My arms are going to have trees that I am going to make by using brown paint and making lines. Then I will have the sky which will be used by gray paint. My BIG idea is to make lots of trees. And a HUGE sky that is gray. And put a massage ‘I LOVE MY LIFE’ in the trees. The word will be in BOLD. I think it will look amazing and that I learned that I am neat, and I did not rush.
The world will become a better place with sharing. I did a drawing of my younger brother Gurfateh. I am sharing my toy to show, sharing is caring. When you share with others, they get happy and they have more fun. So, I want everyone to share. Then everyone will be nice to each other. This will make our world happy!
My art is two weaved photos of nature glued on a canvas with paintings around it. The photos were a picture of mountains with a lake and the other one was a bunch of flowers. The mountains and lake were cut vertically, and the flowers were cut horizontally, then they were weaved together. The painting is two trees, the moon, and the beautiful night sky and the weaved pictures were in the middle. My artwork is a painting with two pictures weaved together in the middle. I put down large paper, my canvas, canvas paints and brushes and I started to paint. I listened to music as I worked so I could work faster. I also used many different brushes and dark colored paints to make it look better. After I finished, I hung it in my room to dry. I was inspired by someone who painted some trees in a night sky at an art show and when my class weaved pictures together. I tried to show love, beauty, and kindness. I wanted to paint because I haven’t painted for a long time and mix it with weaved photos because I thought it would be cool. I think this helped my goals because I was enjoying working and listening to music and I got it done quick. I learned that you can make lots of cool things by painting and that art can be very fun. The final piece turned out better than I thought! This will influence me for future artwork by remembering that I made this so I have an idea of what I can make.
My artwork has lots of colours, and some drawings on it. It wasn’t very hard to create my art, all I did was to think about words that describe being safe (and positive words about Corona), then I drew some pictures. My big idea was to tell everyone it will be okay, if we stick together (but stay 2 feet apart). My goals were to tell everyone that we will be fine, we can get through this. I learned to not give up, I didn’t imagine what my art would be like when it was finished.
I bought a birdhouse and then I painted it with details, and I wrote a message on it. I want everyone to look for the opportunity where and when they can help the birds by providing them home and food.
My art will look like a basketball self-portrait the subject of matter of mine is basketball, beast. I used a pencil to draw and colour everything in. Kobe was the one that inspired me to do this because he never gave up on his career. Yes, my drawing improved a lot since the start of the year.
It could look more realistic. Try to make it look realistic. Outside: I am drawing things outside. Drawings. mine is going to have no colors but it is going to look nice.
I drew about soccer, my favorite sport. I also drew about a famous soccer player Messi. Messi is a famous soccer player I like him because he's a famous soccer player and he has a lot of wins. I want to be like him when I grow up. I created my art by drawing and coloring. The first thing I did was use a bowl and traced it to make the soccer ball. I then found a picture of Messi's Jersey and drew an outline. I also made sure the picture I drew had everything matching the Jersey exactly. Messi inspired me to make this picture. I also like soccer a lot. Messi shows what it means to work hard. If you try hard and show effort, then you will get far. I wanted to show people how much I love soccer because it makes me feel happy. I feel like I did a Pretty good job. I love soccer so it was easy. I am really good at soccer. At the start I had a hard time trying to figure out what to do but I remembered that I love soccer. That made it so much easier for me to decide what to do.
Artist's Statement Coming Soon!
My artwork is a bunch of balloons in space. It is about space and pollution. My art is a white canvas that I painted black. Then I took colored acrylic paint and dabbed different colors to represent balloons in space. A Brazilian artist named Romero Britto that we studied, inspired me because his work is really colorful. Also, another artist named Jackson Pollock and his style of splash painting inspired this work. My painting shows my view of pollution. People say that protecting the environment is important, but they forget sometimes. Many people still let balloons go in the sky and they pollute the environment. I wanted to do an artwork that showed my concern for the environment. I hope this painting will spread self-awareness about how we are polluting the earth, the seas and the sky. I guess I will know if I reached my goals by seeing how other people react to my painting. I learned that art is very messy. I learned that balloons don’t just go up in the sky and disappear, they go up, pop, come down and have an effect on the environment.
