Mr. Quijada recently polled all the students attending Matthew Gage Middle School. One of the questions he asked was, “What is your favorite cafeteria lunch?” The choices students could select from included hot dogs, burgers, tacos, pizza, or spaghetti. There were some interesting differences when the results were examined by gender.
Favorite Lunch Boys Girls
Burgers 60 40

Step: 1
a. Create a spreadsheet file that includes this information. You should have data in cells A1 to C6.
b. Make sure you have a total for each group. on D2 and A8
c. Use the Sum key to tally up your totals
d. Once you have the first total "Auto Fill" by selecting the cell and placing your cursor on the lower right corner box. Then click on hold in until you select the last cell you want to receive a total for.
e. Add up the totals for all Boys, Girls and Totals.
Step 2:
Select the Range: A2 to D7
Select the Insert Chart Icon
In the Chart Editor:
Choose Chart Type: Column Chart
Adjust it to see all the Labels and Data.
Turn in.
