Objective: Students analyze Google Maps to find and calculate the latitude and longitude location of specific landmarks using the Degrees, Minutes, Seconds format. They will then hyerlink the locations from a main menu to the correct slide.
Open Google Maps on a new browser tab
In the "Search" window type in the address or the name of the location.
For each slide your will need
1. Name of the location
2. The Latitude Coordinate in the *Degrees, Minutes, Seconds format. (40° 26′ 46″ N)
3. The Longitude Coordinate in the *Degrees, Minutes Seconds format (79° 58′ 56″ W)
4. A Screen Shot of the Google Map
For each location on the right, make sure to find the latitude and longitude in the Degrees, Minutes and Seconds format.
Find the following Locations and add Place Marks. Make sure to add the list of the locations to a main menu slide on Google Slides.

Disneyland (California) (Zoom into the front entrance where the big Mickey Mouse hedge is at)
Statue of Liberty
Space Needle in Seattle, Washington
Empire State Building
LA Convention Center
The Capitol Building in Washington DC
Sears Tower (Willis Tower)
Grand Canyon Skywalk
The White House in Washington DC
USS Arizona Memorial (Pearl Harbor)
A new window will appear at the bottom.
To convert to Degree, Minute and Seconds Format (DMS)
Click on the Decimal Degrees and it will open a new pane with the Degrees, Minutes, Seconds format like the image below.

1.Select Ctrl+Shift+ (Partcial Screen Icon) all at once (see below)
2. Select the area you want to get a screenshot of by clicking and drawing a box around that area. Then let go.
3. On the lower left corner you will see a message box. Select "Copy of Clipboard"
4. On your presentation Rigth Click and select Paste
