Each October FAMMS celebrates College Kick Off in collaboration with Riverside County Office of Education. Students will get mini lessons on basic college information, culminating in a lunch time college tailgate.

Your mental health is important. Learn about resources and practice strategies for coping with various feelings and responses. You are not alone and FAMMS staff is always here to listen.
Learn and practice strategies for coping with various feelings and responses. Students create an individualized coping plan for themselves to utilize in needed situations.
How to be a positive member of the Miller FAMMily and support peers. Student learn how to identify and report bullying, how the bystander effect can hurt our community, and how social media can positively or negatively effect our daily lives.
How to handle conflict with peers and adults in a positive manner. Students will learn what adults they can turn to for help, how to support friends engaged in conflict, and other helpful skills.
School Counselors meet with their students in the spring to select courses for the following year. Miller's 8th grade counselor will visit feeder elementary schools to discuss Miller and class offering with incoming 6th grade students. RUSD High School Counselors will come to Miller to meet with students about high school requirements and course offerings (see calendar for days of specific schools).
Students complete an online Career Interest Survey and explore various careers that may be a match. Students learn about schooling needed, average salaries, working conditions, and future prospects for that career. Ask your child to log in and share their results with you.
Students learn about the middle school promotion requirements, high school graduation requirements, and A-G requirements. Various post high school college and career options are presented, along with high school opportunities such as CTE pathways, AP classes, and dual enrollment. See below for RUSD CTE pathway options.
