The Second grade SAGE Garden lessons guide students through a year of hands-on exploration of plants, animals, and garden ecosystems. Students practice careful observation, investigate seed dispersal and germination, study beneficial insects and hummingbirds, and create supportive habitats and food sources for pollinators. Together, the lessons build scientific curiosity, environmental stewardship, teamwork, and confidence in the garden.
