Information for presenters

PhD Workshop

The doctoral student workshop will take place on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, in the afternoon. It is intended to serve as a platform for discussions of ongoing PhD research and for obtaining feedback from senior researchers (discussants) and other scholars. Doctoral student papers will be assigned a 30-minute slot: 15 minutes for presentation and 15 minutes for discussion. We ask PhD students whose proposals are accepted to send their presentation and specific questions for the discussion by Wednesday, August 18, 2024, to iaml3conference2024@rug.nl.

Oral presentation

Oral presentations should be around 20 minutes and will be followed by 5 minutes for questions and discussion, and 5 minutes to transfer to the next talk. Please bring your presentation on a USB stick/thumb drive and upload it to the computer in the lecture room during the break prior to the session of your talk. The days and time slots for the oral presentations will be announced in the program.

Poster presentation

Posters should be in A0 portrait format (84.1 x 118.9 cm). Note that the poster boards will not accommodate landscape format posters. Posters can unfortunately not be printed on site and should thus be printed in advance. Posters will be presented during a 90-minute poster session. The day and time of the poster presentation will be announced in the program. Posters can be put up at the beginning of the day, and boards and pins will be provided.
