Stephen Jones:

FSE Fellow, Faculty of Science & Engineering

Stephen Jones is an FSE Fellow, postdoctorate, in the Bernoulli Institute at the Faculty of Science and Engineering, as part of the Artificial Intelligence team. Stephen has a PhD in linguistics, which includes cognitive modelling. His research looks at the interface between formal theories of grammar and models of language in the brain.

In this episode we discuss small experiments that Stephen has made to empower students through empathy and exploring a new assessment method called, "specifications grading" which focusses on critical thinking and mastery-based achievement and learning.
