Biotechnology laboratories carry out several important activities. Microbiology focuses on studying bacteria, fungi, and other microorganisms. Plant tissue culture is a laboratory technique used to grow new plants from a small piece of plant tissue under sterile and controlled conditions. Biochemical Analysis is used to examine enzymes, proteins, and metabolic processes.

Museum Lab:
The Museum Lab is a facility that preserves and displays holotypes and other biological specimens collected from Bhutan, including snakes, fish, crabs, and various other animals. The lab serves as an educational and research resource, enabling students, researchers, and the public to study biodiversity and wildlife.
Entomology Lab:
An Entomology Laboratory is a specialized facility dedicated to the study of insects. The lab focuses on identifying, classifying, and analyzing insects to understand their biology, behavior, ecology, and impact on agriculture, human health, and the environment. It is equipped with tools such as microscopes, insect traps, specimen storage units, and reference collections to support research, teaching, and pest management studies.
