Steps to try if having trouble connecting your iPad to your Macbook
1.Make sure that the iOS is up to date
2. Restart your computer
3. Switch to try the USB on the other side of the computer
4. Blow in the charging slot of the iPad
5. Blow into the USB port of the MacBook
6. Reset the iPad's "Location and Privacy"
7. Do a hard reset on iPad - Hold down Home and Power buttons at the same time until iPad goes black
8. Try a different Apple lightning cable
