The Plain Beautiful
I pinched my thumb into the chunk of clay until it get a bit rounded, and then I gently tamped the edges of the clay to form four flat sides.
After the clay is complete dry (bone dry), Mr.A bisque fired the pot, and I used PC12 to glaze the pot and sent it for the final glaze fire. So the pot is finished. (Final product shown below)
Altered Edge
I pinched the pot with my thumb, and then I flatten the base by tamping the bottom of the pot, and then I also made the semicircular shapes for the edge. So it looks kind of like a sun. After that, I glazed it with SM20 and randomly experienced some yellow glaze (SM63) stroke over the blue glaze.

Something Else (Chibi Whale)
This whale is made of two pinched pots, one for the body, and one for the tail. I combined the two parts after the tail drys a bit, because if the clay is two wet, it may not hold the shape well. Then I added two eyes and carved in the mouth for the whale. I glazed SM29 for the body and SM1 for the eyes of the whale.
Final Product:
1. I made three different size pinched pots to joined as the lower arm for support. After I combined the three pots as one, and then I smoothened the connections for a better looking and tried to make it look like lower arm. I carved a hole through the whole thing, for the air to go through the clay.
2. I used two pinched pot for making the palm, and extra clays for the fingers. While I was making the hand's posture, I used my hand as a reference. I made a few coils for the finger, and then I realized that it was hard to make the sculpture hand to look like the real one. I tried twice, and I did not think that I could make it. And Mr. A told me that it was okay, so I carved a hole in the bottom of the hand, and joined the parts together. After that I glazed the whole sculpture with SM11.
