This year in Social Studies students will immerse themselves in various topics such as, Maine History, Colonization, the American Revolution, Civil War, and the Industrial Revolution, by discussing focus questions, reading and analyzing a rich collection of diverse primary and secondary sources, examining artifacts, and interpreting images, such as paintings and photographs, maps, and political cartoons.


Throughout the units students will show their mastery of content knowledge, cognitive processes, and critical thinking skills, using various methods such as (but not limited to): completing formative assessments, performance-based assessment activities, creating an argumentative essay, and creating an information book that reflects an event or topic.


All assignments and important information will be located in Google Classroom.
