Our class will examine different skills related to analyzing, critical thinking, communication, and research according to the Next Generation Science Standards. Students will be assessed according to the standards in a variety of ways including written examinations and labs, projects, the use of technology, and discussions.Â
Throughout the year, we will develop a deeper understanding of change, cycles, patterns, and relationships in the living world. Students will build on basic principles related to these concepts by exploring the cellular organization and the classification of organisms; the dynamic relationships among organisms, populations, communities, and ecosystems; and change as a result of the transmission of genetic information from generation to generation.
