Welcome to English language arts class with Mrs. Nichols!

This year in 7th grade ELA, students will enjoy a variety of experiences designed to help them grow as readers and writers.  Our topics of study will include:

-Elements of Literature

-Vocabulary 

-Writing Craft and Grammar

-Narrative Writing

-Poetry

-Historical Fiction

-Non-fiction Reading

-Informational Writing

-Argument Reading and Writing

Students are expected to read a novel of choice for at least 20 minutes each night.
