Our eyes are a part of our central nervous system. When we are stressed, our vision becomes more narrow and hyper focused which contributes messages to our brain to be on "high alert." By taking a moment to look around our surroundings, taking in all the objects and things to see, we interrupt that stress response and increase our ability to feel calm.
