Quarter 2

During 2nd quarter, the 8th grade students will continue with their intarsia wood project which was started 1st quarter. If students finish early, they are able to do extra credit projects that they design or can use project plans from me.

All students are required to buy a can of water-based spray finish for their intarsia wood project. This can be purchased from any hardware store or Walmart. Below are several examples of the finish.

The finish MUST be water-based and MUST be spray finish.

There are three types of sheens:

Clear gloss.....................very shiny

Clear semi-gloss............a little shiny

Clear satin.....................no shine

The choice they make will have no affect on their grade, but they are graded on the finishing of their project.
