There are some aspects that would be impossible for a Child Care center to do. Our job is to assess the situation and choose the right decision for the children we have in our care. The Kidio App will instruct you what to do in the case of an emergency.

What is it?

This program is an app/website that is used as a notification system in case of an emergency. Within the program, you have the ability to customize the incidents that you use (intruder on campus, missing child, fire, etc). For each incident, you can customize who receives the notification, as seen below.

When a notification is sent out, staff are informed via text message and a phone call that includes a description of the situation and specific instructions to follow. Administrators receive the same notification, but can also see the exact location of where the incident is taking place on a map.

When to use each notification:

• Intruder on Campus- There is an intruder on the school property.

• Active Shooter- There is an active shooter reported on school property.

• Medical Emergency- There is a reported medical emergency.

• Fire- There is a fire reported on campus.

• Power Outage- There is a reported power outage on school property.

• Poisonous Hazard- There is a poisonous contaminant on the school property.

• Missing Child- A child has gone missing.

• Bomb Threat- There is a reported bomb threat.

• Wildlife on Campus- There is dangerous wildlife on the school property.
