Mr. Barry is our 5th Grade Band and Orchestra director. He teaches all brass lessons and most 5th grade string lessons. Mr. Barry primarily plays the tuba and is has just finished his Master's Degree in Music Education at Montclair State University, where he also attended for his Bachelor's. When not at school, Mr. Barry can be found hanging around with his cat Oreo.
Ms. Bream is our 5th Grade Chorus and 6th grade Band director. She teaches all woodwind lessons! Ms. Bream primarily playing the bassoon and enjoys teaching lessons with the Community School after school. When not at school, Ms. Bream can typically be reading or doing arts and crafts at home.
Mrs. Ng is the Music Cycle Class teacher, 6th grade Chorus, and 6th grade Honors Chorus director. Mrs. Ng primarily sings and plays piano, and has been nicknamed (lovingly) "The Mean Rat" as she was born in the Chinese Year of the Rat. When not at school, Mrs. Ng spends time with her family and takes her daughter to horse riding events.
Mr. Monaghan is the Eisenhower Middle School Band Director and district wide percussion teacher. This means he travels to Lincoln Roosevelt and Roxbury High School to teach percussion lessons different days of the week. Mr. Monaghan also writes for and teaches Marching Band! He was a longterm member of the Caballeros Drum and Bugle Corps.
Mr. Goodwin is our 6th grade Orchestra director. He teaches all 6th grade string lessons, and some 5th grade string lessons. He is the Roxbury district wide string teacher. Just like Mr. Monaghan, Mr. Goodwin travels to Lincoln Roosevelt and Roxbury High School to teach string lessons and higher level orchestra.
