Concerts

We get asked many questions about what students can/should wear to the concert. We all want to look professional and like a singular unit so we ask for: white top, black bottoms, and nice shoes (NO crocs, no sneakers), or students may wear all black. Skirts and dresses allowed!

We insist on looking good at the concert because we are mini-professionals when we play music- not children. Students are not given a "beginner" or "temporary" instrument, all instruments they play are the exact ones professional musicians play. We want to emulate that feeling on stage. Also, no matter how hard we try not to, audience members will judge your sound by your look. They will see you before they hear you and make subconscious notes comparing your look to your sound. We want to give the best first impression, always!
