Collectivo
Take the collectivo or the "tortuga, " (the bus) from the car dealership in front of the baseball stadium. Collectivos are maroon and have Mitla printed on the front window. Tell them you are going to Hierve el Agua. They will drop you off in Mitla. In Mitla, you'll catch a truck that will take you to Hierva el Agua. It used to wait for you until you returned. Please make sure they still do. You'll do the same to come back. Go early because buses and collectives become less frequent back to the city in the afternoon and night.
If you look at this video, at about minute 6, it shows you how to get there.
