Second graders practice describing the weather in Spanish as part of their warm up. We are also learning interesting facts about Cuba, our country of study!
For their holiday celebration project our second graders made their own drums! The tumbadora is a narrow, single-headed drum from Cuba. Students had a great time upcycling some materials while learning about musical traditions in Cuba (their country of study). See pics below.
