1. Talented and Gifted Services resume on our first day back, Thursday January 4th.
2. TAG Math 3-5 will be finishing their current units
   • 5th, Unit 6: Generate Equivalent Mathematical Expressions 
   • 4th, Unit 7: Decimal Multiplication and Division
   • 3rd, Unit 8: Measurement (Time intervals, Weight, Capacity)

2. • 5th, Unit 6: Represent Multiplicative and Additive Relationships
   • 4th, Unit 7: Fraction Addition and Subtraction with unlike denominators
   • 3rd, Unit 8: Place Value to 1 Billion

3. Our TAG Parent Book Club is coming this month! We will be reading...

   •  Living with Intensity Understanding the Sensitivity, Excitability, and Emotional Development of Gifted Children

4. TAG ALPPS Showcase 2024

   • This year, our Spring Showcase will be at Westwood High School for 3-5 and at Purple Sage for 1st and 2nd. Something to anticipate this year is an additional Purple Sage Showcase for 1st - 5th, right here on campus! As of now the dates are to be determined, though this is known to usually take place in March. I will send an additional email or add these dates to our February Newsletter.

   • Parents, this year you should be supplying your students with a trifold board for their presentation. There are several students who have a partner, I encourage you to check in with your student and communicate who will be supplying the board. 

December

1. TAG Math 3-5 will continue in their current units

2. Our Professor visit will take place on December 8th. We have Professor of Education Risa Hartman and a Graduate Student pursuing a PhD, Cam Li, who is part of the Roberts Research Group at UT-Austin.
