Resources and Ideas for Third Grade Intervention Students in Reading and Math @ Home Learning.

If you're stuck and need help email me at chrissy_hall@roundrockisd.org.

Reading:

  • Intervention students should be reading a minimum of 20 minutes a day during the week. You may use online books, books from your at home library or log on to Razkids.

  • Document your experiences through a daily journal (write for at least 5 minutes everyday). Here is a template to help you get started (make a copy to type in the template).

  • Login to Razkids to find books on your reading level and to test your comprehension

Kids A-Z Login Instructions

      • Step 1: Go to www.kidsa-z.com

      • Step 3: Your child finds his or her username on the class chart

Math:

  • Dreambox- Online math resource (After you are logged on, please don't get help from others with the math...answer the questions yourself so the computer knows exactly what you know or don't know)

  • Use this document to solve the math problems on the slide deck for this week. Make a copy to type your work on the google document.

  • Click and complete the practice pages below from last week to review place value up to 4 digits (turn in to your teacher on google classroom)

  • Play the place value card game if you didn't have a chance last week

  • Use some of the resources below to play games to review and practice important math skills such as addition, subtraction, and multiplication
