Welcome to my classroom website! My name is Miss Baker and this will be my 3rd year teaching 5th Grade at Patsy Sommer.

Education

I was born and raised in Austin, Texas. After graduating from Anderson High School, I attended Austin Community College (Go Riverbats!) and transferred to Texas State University (Go Bobcats!) and received my Bachelor of Science degree in Education in 2013. A few months later, I was accepted into the Teacher Fellows Program at Texas State. During this program, I taught 5th grade in Leander ISD for a year while simultaneously attending night classes at TXST. In the summer of 2015, I graduated with my Master of Education degree!!! This has been the greatest decision of my career and I am eternally grateful that Texas State University gave me this teaching and learning opportunity.

Now for the FUN stuff!

During my free time, I love...

• Singing and playing guitar
• Playing with my puppy, Pablo Picasso (he's the cutest!)
• Eating sushi
• Traveling
• Spending time with friends and family
• Playing Pokemon Go
• Drinking hot teas
• Spending time at the lake
• Naps!
• Enjoying the outdoors
• Chasing after my puppy, because he stole a sock (this I don't love, just had to mention it)
