Hello parents and guardians!
First, thank you for making our Meet the Teacher Night a success! It was wonderful to meet all of you and finally have everyone in our classrooms. This first week of school was very special for all of our 4th grade teachers. We are excited to get to know each of your families and our fabulous fourth grade group. They did a stellar job learning and following expectations, being kind and getting to know each other, and participating in beginning of the year activities this week. We are all looking forward to a fantastic year! 🤟
Just a kind reminder to make sure that all chromebooks are being charged at home. We do not have chargers in the classroom and our outlet space is limited. That being said, sometimes the chromebook batteries go out sooner than the end of day bell goes off! It is best to always send in your student with their charger as well.
We will have a snack time at the beginning of the day in addition to lunch. Please make sure you are sending in a snack with your child each day. We also thank you in advance for not sending in any messy snacks that could be split easily. If you are ever willing to send in extra snacks, that is always appreciated.
Thank you for your partnership, and let's have a great year,
Your 4th Grade Teachers
A SPECIAL NOTE: PLEASE CHECK BACKPACKS FOR WET LIBRARY BOOKS! That rain was crazy!
If found, please stand the books up and spread out the pages as best as you can to dry. Your student can give these to or librarian, Ms. Strong, first thing on Monday morning.
EXCITING CHROMEBOOK NEWS!
Fourth-grade students with Chromebooks that are out of warranty will be replaced with NEW CASED Chromebooks next week!
In preparation for this, it is important that your student bring their Chromebook and charger with them to school on Thursday, August 21.

This week during our reading and writing Amplify lesson, we introduced the students to the idea of a personal narrative. Students also engaged in writing a paragraph, organizing the parts of a paragraph, and creating a six-word memory. Additionally, our students loved setting up their personal writers' notebooks with things they love. Thank you for sending in those materials!
