Storytelling

Event Description

To tell a story second and third graders should develop skills in listening, thinking, and speaking.  This contest also allows for the development of creative expression.  Contestants will listen to a storyteller read a brief story only once, and then retell the story in their own words before a judge or judges. There are no time restrictions on the length of the story the student creates. After practicing for seven weeks, three students from each grade level will be chosen to represent Deep Wood at our Learning Community Meet.
