The focus of the music memory contest is an in-depth study of fine pieces of music literature taken from a wide spectrum of music genres to expose third, fourth and fifth grade students to great composers, their lives and their music. Students will listen to approximately 20 seconds of 16 musical selections and match the title and composer on a list with the composition they heard. Music Memory encourages students to practice their skills in listening, spelling, and paying attention to and remembering details. Five students from each grade level will represent Deep Wood at our Learning Community Meet.
This team will practice each Tuesday starting the week of November 18th through the week of January 27th from 3:00 - 4:00pm in Room 112, the Music Room.
