College Board recently revamped the AP Physics test format! Beginning in May 2025, the AP test for ALL types of AP Physics (AP-1, AP-2, and AP-C) will follow the same format, as outlined below:
40 questions in 80 minutes
Online Exam (questions and answers submitted via computer)
Resources: formula chart, table of information, and calculator allowed
There will be both discrete questions as well as question sets that address a variety of topics and/or skills.
Multiple choice questions will have only 4 answer choices and there is no penalty for guessing.
4 questions total in 100 minutes
Hybrid Exam (you will view the questions on your computer screen, but submit your written answers in a physical answer booklet)

1 Mathematical Routines problem
1 Translation between Representations problem
1 experimental design & analysis problem
1 Qualitative/Quantitative Translation problem
