Fundraising is a critical part of our Choir Program. As public education funding continues to see declines, many of our Fine Arts programs, throughout the state of Texas and the greater United States find that we must rely very heavily on fundraising to fit the bill for student activites both in and out of the classroom. Deerpark Choirs begin each year with a minimal supply budget, and look to fundraising efforts for nearly all of our program expenses, many of which continue to grow with inflation. The money we raise goes directly back into each student's experience in choir. We use these funds to pay for music, accompanist fees, contest entry fees, buses to performance events and field trips, etc. We continue to work to make this program and its benefits accessible to all students, passing along as little required expense as possible to the individual student. We allow individual students to apply a portion of their fundraising profit toward the cost of field trips (ex, Varsity Spring Trip & 6th Grade/JV Spring Trips). If you are uncomfortable with your student participating in fundraising, we also accept donations in any amount using cash, check, or electronic donation through our district E store.
