Hello! I am so excited to be at Cactus Ranch as a 4th grade teacher this year. Let me tell you about myself!

I grew up here in Round Rock and attended RRISD schools K-12. I graduated from Texas State with my bachelor's in education in 2019. During my studies at TXST, I was an intern at Cactus Ranch for 4th grade- I'm so happy to be back! After that, I student taught 1st grade and then taught Kindergarten at Elsa England for 1 year. While I was at Elsa England, I was in a master's program through Texas State called Teacher Fellows. In August of 2020 I graduated with my Master's in Education. Eat 'em up, cats! I taught for two years at Cactus Ranch in 3rd grade. This will be my 5th year of teaching and second year in 4th grade. Some of my hobbies include playing the ukulele, calligraphy, kayaking, and reading.

In my master's program I learned about and implemented cooperative learning, teaching with technology, social emotional learning, relationship building, classroom management, and SO much more! This year will be amazing! I am looking forward to getting to know my students and partnering with their parents to create a positive and collaborative environment.
