Welcome to First Grade and the 2025-2026 school year! I am so excited to get to know you and your family.
Important Dates:
Welcome Walk will be Thursday, August 7th from 5-8pm. I will be stopping by your house to introduce myself and welcome your child to a new year. If you live outside the attendance zone, we will have a chance to meet on Thursday, August 7th at 4:15 in the CRE cafeteria.
Our Howdy will be Monday, August 11th from 8:00am-9:30am. This is a come-and-go event where you will be able to visit our classroom, drop off school supplies(including your Chromebook and charger), and maybe see a few friends while you're here. I can't wait to see you in room C102!
The first day of school will be Tuesday, August 12th. Doors open at 7:15 am. Parents may walk students to class on the first day. We ask that all 1st graders pack a lunch from home for the first week (4 days) of school.
Parents, I will be hosting a virtual parent info meeting on August 21st at 6:00 pm. The meeting link will be sent closer to the date.

About Me
Welcome to the 2025-2026 school year! I am so excited to have your child in my classroom this year. This will be my twelfth year teaching. I have lived in the Austin area my whole life, and graduated from Texas State University. My husband and I have five children- three boys and two girls.
It is very important to me that your child has a positive and enjoyable learning experience in first grade. It is my goal to create a classroom community in which every student can succeed and excel. I value your opinions as a parent, and understand that it is important for us to communicate and work together to support your child’s growth and learning. I have had such wonderful experiences working with Cactus Ranch families, and I know this year will be the same. I am truly looking forward to building a relationship with you and your child. Don’t hesitate to contact me with any questions. I am here to serve you and your child the best way I can.
