Here is a list of websites that we think might be useful to you, however, these are run by third-party organisations and we do not monitor their content or are responsible for the advice and guidance that is given.

Mindworks Surrey – the new name for Surrey’s emotional wellbeing and mental health service for children and young people. The site provides children, young people, families and carers with information about services, advice and resources. It is a source of essential information, including how to ask for help in a crisis via the 24/7 Crisis Line.  


For Parents

YoungMinds run a free, confidential parents helpline, which parents/carers can call if they are worried about how a child or young person is feeling or behaving. They also run a group called Parents Say, for parents whose children are accessing Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services.


The Samaritans website provides support and advice if you are having a difficult time or worried about someone else. 

Heads Together is a mental health initiative spearheaded by the Royal Foundation of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, which combines a campaign to tackle stigma and change the conversation on mental health. 

Mind offers information and support for those living with a mental health problem or supporting someone who is.

Kooth is an anonymous site which helps children and young people to feel safe and confident in exploring their concerns and seeking professional support. 

For people under 25

The Mix takes on the embarrassing problems, weird questions, and thoughts that we have. They offer a free & confidential helpline available 365 days a year via phone, email or webchat. They also have discussion boards and live chat.


Shout 85258 is a free confidential text messaging service for anyone in the UK.  Their website provides information about their text service and the issues they can support with. 

Eating Disorders website, with information and advice for those that are struggling with an eating disorder or supporting someone. 

STEM 4 provide information in a number of areas to support mental health including self harm and addiction.  As well as their website they have a number of apps including Combined Minds, a free app to help families and friends provide mental health support. 

OCD Action provide support and information to anybody affected by OCD.  Offering confidential, unbiased support via their helpline or email service.  This site includes information about OCD and related disorders. 

No Panic offers relaxation and breathing techniques, a helpline, resources and a dedicated Youth Hub area on the site. 

NHS site with expert advice and practical tips to help you look after your mental health and wellbeing. 

Frank offers honest information about drugs,  what to do in an emergency and how to help if you are worried about a child and they offer a 24 hour confidential advice via email, phone or text.
