The Hive
The Hive has put together this website to assist you with your mental health and wellbeing. Our aim is to provide you with the support you may need to ensure that you can get the best experience out of school, whether you are experiencing anxiety or you need someone to listen to you, please visit us in The Hive.
Our team are able to support you with a range of issues which you may be experiencing, such as anxiety, low self-esteem, stress, depression, feelings of isolation, plus a range of other emotional issues which can impact upon your general feeling of wellbeing. Come along to The Hive for a referral, or speak to your Head of Year.
Curriculum Offer
The Hive is open from 8:00 am - 4:00pm and is able to provide the following curriculum offer between 8:30 am and 3:00 pm, for which the Student Intervention Directory needs to have been applied.
Creative therapy, through the medium of arts and crafts, eg mindfulness drawing and colouring to support emotional wellbeing, lego therapy to support communication and social skills.
Pet therapy to support with many issues including anxiety and low mood.
Social interaction - developing essential social skills through activities such as board games and group discussions.
Ad-hoc support - if students need support when they may be feeling overwhelmed or need timeout to emotionally regulate.
Sensory therapy room - to provide a calm space to support emotional regulation
Assigned work through google classroom
