As the Assistant Headteacher for Behaviour & SafeguardingI oversee the transition of students from Year 6 into Year 7 alongside the Year 7 Student Support Team. Allocation of PlacesParents will be sent an e-mail confirming the outcome of your application on Monday 2nd March 2026. Online applicants can also log into the online system to view the outcome from this date. If you did not provide an email address with your application, you will be sent a letter on the notification date by post. Please allow 2 to 3 working days for your letter to arrive and see the Hampshire Website for more information.What happens nextAlthough there is no need for you to accept the place offered to your child with Hampshire County Council, we would like all our parents to confirm with the school directly to ensure we have up to date contact details. Please use this form to do this: Place Confirmation 2026.If you no longer wish to take up the place offered to you at The Romsey School, please let ourselves and Hampshire County Council know as soon as possible in writing so that it can be offered to another child. If you are not offered a place at The Romsey School, your child will be added to the waiting list. You also have a right of appeal against the refusal.This site will continue to evolve over the rest of this academic year with information and resources to support the transition of students from Primary to Secondary School.
