Personalised Learning Checklist (PLCs)

The PLC has a list of all the topics you will study in Year 10 and 11. You can find them at the links below

You should have a copy in your Exercise book. If you do not, get a copy from your teacher!

To make use of your PLC effectively, RAG each module after you have studied them in class. Revise any topics that are amber or red by using SparxMaths or CorbettMaths. If you are still struggling, then go to the Tuesday After School Support Session to get help from a teacher.

Checklist for Sparx can be found below. The Crossover checklist overlaps both Higher and Foundation papers, targeting Grade 4-5.

Note that topics contained in these papers are not guaranteed to appear in the actual exams. Topics in previous papers can come up again. Practice the crossed out papers below if you have completed all the others.

Remember, that these practice papers are full papers. It will contain topics you have not studied yet. You may leave those topics but you can of course use HegartyMaths to learn independently!

Sparx Crossover Booklets

A set of 6 packs covering the crossover section of the papers can be found at the link below.

This will be useful for those aiming to secure a Grade 4 or 5 on the Foundation Paper and to secure the core knowledge on the Higher Paper.

Crossover Intervention on Wednesday 15th May

Content below was delivered in the session in the hall earlier today. Worksheet and answers are attached. These are actually questions from past papers and will be useful for this aiming for G4/5 on Foundation and to ensure a good start for those aiming for G5/6 on the Higher. Questions are of the type that commonly appear in the non-calculator crossover section and also some tricky questions that students struggle with. 

Form Time Intervention

Here you can find the revision booklets as well as the slides used during form time intervention. For those of you who are in a Maths form intervention group, you should already have the booklets, and for those who are not they will be available from your class teacher soon!

The booklets are designed for you to make notes on specific topics before trying some questions. If you were absent or have some gaps in your booklets, you can use the slides here to complete it before attempting the additional questions. Do note that examples are demonstrated in class and are not currently in the slides. These will be added, and an update note below this post will let you know when they are available.
