Good morning to my favorite K-Prep'ers! :) I hope you are all doing well. Parents- please know that any of the activities I sent home or any of the other opportunities I have or will provide for you are simply opportunities. None of these things will be "graded." As I have said, I would love to see their work if/when we get to return, but again, don't stress over it. That's just me being interested in what the kids are doing. Happy Friday, friends! It's hard to believe we're already on day 5 of this, and once again, I miss you guys lots! It looks as if the weather is supposed to be pretty nice this weekend and I sure hope it stays that way so we can all get out and get some fresh air. I have had a few phone/FaceTime conversations and it has definitely been the highlight of my week. My plan is to continue with that again right away on Monday. I also hope to post a couple more videos next week, so make sure you stay tuned! :) Have a great weekend!

Good morning! I hope you all had a good weekend. It was still chilly outside, but at least we got to see some sunshine. It's a bit gloomy outside this morning. I'm crossing my fingers that clears up and it warms up a little more for the rest of the week. Right away today I am continuing with my phone calls/FaceTimes and I'm really excited! Those of you I was in contact with late last week, let's see if we can make the same thing work this week. Please let me know if there's anything I can do for you guys. I'm more than happy to help! Hi, friends! I hope you're all doing well. And I hope you saw and enjoyed my silly video above! I'm sad that today is a rainy day, but continuing to hope for some sunshine real soon. I'm wanting to get out and go on a walk. However, I have been keeping busy with lots of different things--doing laundry, washing dishes, cleaning out my car, keeping in touch with you guys and other teachers, and of course I have let myself watch a few episodes on Netflix! :) Continue to check on my website each day as you know I always make a daily message and have been including some videos. I hope you're enjoying them as much as I'm enjoying making them for you! Stay healthy!

Boy & girls and parents, I am so excited for the teacher parade tomorrow!!! I hope you're all able to watch in some way! You should have an email about this if you don't know about it yet. Another gloomy day, but I'm going to go out to my parent's house and probably take the dogs for a walk today. :) If you see me tomorrow, be sure to wave really big! :) Have a great day.

Hi friends! How many of you got to see the staff parade on Friday? Maybe if you weren't able to be there, you may have seen some of it on the news? In any case, I had sooo much fun with it! It was a bit chilly, but we were blessed with no rain the whole time. I enjoyed seeing everyone and their families out and waving with big smiles! So heartwarming during this time. Today I spent a good majority of the day out at my parents' house. It was so nice outside! I went for a walk/run and took the dogs with me again. There was some work that had to be done with the cattle, so I watched my parents and brother do that, and then we all had dinner together. What a great day! I hope you all got the chance to enjoy the beautiful weather as well. Lastly, I continue to miss our days at school together and seeing you all every day. However, I'm still loving the chances we have gotten to chat on the phone/FaceTime/Zoom! Stay healthy and well!

Wow, last day of March already. What a beautiful day again today! I spent most of the day out at my parents' house once again. My dad needed some help with some fencing and then moving some cattle, so I did that with him. Hopefully you guys were able to get outside, too, as it looks to be rain in the forecast for the next couple days now. That will give us time to get some things done inside! Happy April Fool's Day! Did anyone play any tricks on you today? I have to say there was one on Facebook this morning that got me. Other than talking to a couple of you today, I have been watching some Netflix since it has been rainy/gloomy. The sun came out not too long ago, though, so that was nice to see! I need to make another video for you guys, so I hope to get one done and posted for you yet this week. Of course I hope you're all doing well and staying healthy!

What a switch in the weather for today - silly Iowa! Although it's still not going to be quite as warm tomorrow as we've seen a bit lately, it looks as if the sun is supposed to be out. And then Sunday and into the beginning of the week is going to be gorgeous, so I'm excited about that! I wanted to get at least one video made and posted for you this week and I didn't get to it so I'll have to try my best for next week. I hope you all have a great weekend! :)

Hi, all! I hope everyone had a good weekend! As I have mentioned a bit now, we are able to move forward with some new learning starting next week, so I'm excited about that. What a gorgeous day today was! Once again, I spent pretty much the whole day out at my parents house. There's more to do outside with them being in the country on the farm. I went on TWO walks today! The first one was just me and the dogs. For the second one, my mom joined, so that was fun. From my conversations with you guys over the phone, FaceTime, or Zoom, it sounds as if you're all staying pretty busy. It sounds like you have also been busy with the work in your folders I sent home for you. Great to hear! Continue to stay healthy! Hi boys and girls! We had a rainy day today. I was still able to get out and go for a run - I ran to my grandparent's house and back. I have almost completely gotten our Zoom meetings organized for next week and I'm super excited that you guys will get to see some of your friends! I think you will really enjoy it! I'm also excited that I get to do a little teaching for you. Yesterday I posted a picture for you. I'm still planning to do at least one video this week - I'm thinking I might find a book to read to you. Stay tuned to find out! :)

Hi, friends! Today I spent most of my day trying to learn and do TikTok dances! Have you heard or seen anything about this?! It's quite the workout! Just imagine Ms. Dahlby doing GoNoodle videos with you - it's very similar to that! Hopefully that will give you a goofy picture in your mind for a good laugh! :) Of course I still continue to talk to a couple of you each day and it's still the highlight of my week! I sure miss seeing you guys every day! Take care!

Boys and girls, thank you for joining our ZOOM meeting this evening! It was so fun to see all of you again, as well as for you all to see each other and get to chat a little. I also enjoyed seeing the work you guys already had done for today's little "assignment." For those of you that weren't able to make it- I'm trying to figure out how I can send you the video recording since it's such a long video and is a big file. Snow yesterday?! Again, silly Iowa! Looks like maybe some chillier temperatures this week and then back to nicer next week. I'll cross my fingers!

Brrrr! What a cold day. I decided to stay out of the cold and get some things done inside today. It's nice to have time for those things that normally get put off with a busy schedule. Today I gave you some reading to do to work on our reading comprehension. Hopefully you were able to find a book, read it, and tell someone three things you remembered from what you read. Keep up the good work!

Good evening! I hope you all had a great Thursday. Since I got your guys' learning video recorded and posted last night and did a bunch of cleaning yesterday, I decided to relax a little today. That was really nice! Also, I'm happy to continue to see the weather getting nicer and warmer again! It's nice to be able to get outside, but the sunshine always helps the mood as well! I went ahead and recorded and posted tomorrow's activity tonight. Again, you're free to do it tonight or tomorrow. Whatever works best. Seems crazy to me that tomorrow is already Friday again. My goodness, friends! I noticed I missed a few days daily messages for you--I'm sorry! It's obvious that the week got away from me quickly. We have had some pretty nice weather this week. I have been going for my walks and yesterday I laid out in the sun for awhile and did get a little sunburnt! Thank you to those of you who continue to join in on our ZOOM meetings. Good morning, friends! I hope you all had a great weekend and got to enjoy the beautiful weather. I know I definitely did! I don't know about you guys, but I'm LOVING the nice Spring weather. I spent as much time outside as I could. Last night we did some grilling and had a little bonfire. Those are some of my favorite nights! This week we continue to work hard on activities. Good morning boys and girls! I enjoyed our ZOOM meeting last night. We got to see a few fun things! I'm headed back to our classroom today. I got quite a bit done again yesterday and shouldn't have much left. This is when I realize how much stuff I really have! Happy Friday to all! It looks like this weekend might be a little cooler than we've gotten used to the last couple weekends, but hopefully still nice enough for us to get outside! I did get our classroom all finished as far as packing it up yesterday. Last night I was able to go back to work at my second job for a few hours, so I enjoyed that. The activity I would like you to do for today has been sent out. As I mentioned, it's another day of the Scholastic Learn at Home activities. Good morning, friends. How was your weekend? Did you do anything special for Mother's Day yesterday? I gave my mom a card and necklace, and then we had dinner with the family. Today and Wednesday are our last days for our regular class check-in ZOOM meetings. I have sent out your activity for today and will continue to do that for each day the rest of this week and then Monday and Tuesday next week. After that, we have wrapped up the school year. I'm sad we aren't going to be able to finish up and say our "see you later's" in school like normal. We'll do our best with what we can! Have a great day and see you on ZOOM tonight!

Hi boys & girls! The last few days I have been doing some things I needed to do to wrap up the school year as a teacher. There are some still things left to finish, but it's coming to a close quickly. Other than that, I have been relaxing, doing some things around my place, and spending time outside when it's nice. Boy and girls, I hope you all had a great weekend. Yesterday was rainy, but Saturday was a nice day for the most part. This weekend is already Memorial weekend and it looks like we're going to have some warm weather. I'm hoping to do some camping with my parents.
