Music is a option choice for GCSE.
At Robert Clack, we follow the Eduqas GCSE Music specification. In the course, you will:
Perform as a soloist and in an ensemble (30%)
Compose two different pieces of music using Logic Pro or Musescore. One of these is free choice, and the other is called the set brief which is sent by the exam board [exampe below] (30%)
Developing your knowledge of music and listening skills, which is applied in the end of course exam (40%)
You will also develop a number of transferable skills, such as independence, teamwork, verbal and non-verbal communication, self-disciple and many more!

You are already developing your music knowledge and skills in lesson, but there are so many opportunities for you to engage in music to continue this outside the classroom.
One easy way to do this is to attend an extra-curriulcar activity in school. Check out the timetable in the music department or on your google classroom for more information.
