Saturday is all about making a difference and discovering the power of service and leadership in the Yellow Jacket community. The day kicks off with the 🗝️SERVE Impact Rally🗝️, where students can learn about service at RMC and participate in hands-on projects like campus clean-up, nursing home bingo, and working with the Ashland Library. Adventure seekers can take on the RMC Outdoor Programming Zip Line, while evening events include special interest house cookouts and 🗝️Late Night Brock: Power Pop Girls Bingo🗝️. It’s a day to give back, get involved, and make your mark through civic engagement and connection.
Randolph-Macon College students, faculty, and staff will volunteer at a total of 5 various community-centered service projects that support local partners in Ashland. This gives a new opportunity to the student population of RMC yellow jackets to engage in meaningful and actionable community service. Volunteers will bring joy to residents through bingo at the Ashland Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, assist with gardening at Duncan Memorial Church, organize donations at the Hull Clothing Closet, spruce up the Leadership Fellows House, and create Imagination Jars with children at the Ashland Library. These hands-on projects offer meaningful ways to honor the 9/11 Day of Service through connection, creativity, and kindness for the Ashland community as well as Hanover County.
