What will we be doing in Year 7?
During your Drama lessons in year 7 at RMS we cover 4 main topics.
Topic 1: Status: This is where we look at the status/power of a character and how to perform a character clearly on stage.
Topic 2: Devising: We learn how to create your own pieces of drama using specific skills such as thought-tracking.
Topic 3: Commedia dell’arte: We study the ancient art of Italian comedy.
Topic 4: The Tempest: We explore the story of William Shakespeare’s The Tempest.
As a department we also aim to help you build confidence and communication skills by working as a part of a team to meet new friends!
