All students at UHMS take six graded classes and one class called Silent Reading.
Silent reading is an ungraded period (although attendance is REQUIRED) that is used for study hall, homework help, reading time, or clubs and activities based on student needs.
Students may also opt to take a zero-period course to provide time in their schedule for a second elective course. Please speak to your student's counselor if they are interested in taking zero-period.
Please use the links in the navigation menu to select a department for more information about that content area.
